320 Lexington Avenue at 38th and 39th Streets-212 213 0042 -will deliver

another burger and beer place in the neighborhood. Originated in Brooklyn and well known– also some chicken items, tofu, and salad. Cafeteria look to the place. Think they could have made more effort on the decor.

All the news trucks were lined up yesterday up and down Madison Avenue and I knew it could not have been anything but Haiti.

What a tragedy! The consulate for this country is located at 271 Madison Avenue between 39th and 40th. Never noticed it as it is in a tall

building with no signage outside.

” Van in Times Square”

For the last year I have contacted the Mayor and on down to the local precinct about motorcycles parked on the sidewalks and illegal street spots. This is basically the same issue. Couldn’t explosives be packed into their little trunk  compartments?

I have noticed 20 to 30 illegally parked motor scooters and cycles that the police can not ticket as the owners have taken their license plates off(also illegal). Parking enforcers can not ticket these cycles as they can not or do not want to bother finding the vin number (which is usually hidden) to ticket them.

As far as towing them away. My local precinct (the 17th) says they do it maybe once a month usually at night and take them to a pound. This of course is hap hazard and usually these cycles are parked during the day when these people are at work. They have all figured out how to commute to work and not have to pay for parking.

Why does no one consider this a safety issue or what I believe is a very good income stream for the city.

If you would like more info I have a list of all the govt people i have contacted to no avail. Would love to publicize all these govt employees that do not do their jobs.Deputy Commissioner Paul Browne is shocked by this one truck….. how about 20 of them in a 3 block radius everyday. Will try to write him next.

Ps: would love to send this to Mr Browne but there is no email address on the website.Would you pls forward.

We loved this Park Avenue building’s ingenuity!

It was Saturday around noon and there were no commercial vehicles on the street. Passenger cars can not park till evening. I noticed that a man in the small truck from Riteway Chimney was cleaning out his truck and putting his refuse on the street. I stood across the street for a few moments to see if he had any intentions of leaving his garbage on the street. When he started to close his doors and walk across the street to where he was working, I said quite nicely  and asked him if he had any intention of leaving his garbage on the street. He went ballistic and started yelling at me and threatening me to mind my own business. I was writing down his infor nd he was standing over me ready to strike.

I am a pretty feisty person and stood my ground. I also am very concerned as you know if you read this blog with any frequency that I want the neighborhood to stay as clean as possible. I will also complain at www.complaints.com how volatile this guy is besides being a litterer. He did put the garbage back in his truck but only because he knew I meant business.

Riteway Chimney is from Farmingdale, LI and this man said he owned the business. No accreditation from BBB

A man walked into a doctor’s office on 32nd Street near Lexington Avenue on Wed Oct 28th at 1:30pm and stole Vivitrol from an open refrigerator. He was later arrested fro burglary and grand larceny.

Two  gang members of the Latin Kings tried to rob the At&T store at 44th and Lexington Avenue. One person was caught the other not.

Sorry but some people might find this strange but I look for new doctors close to home. There are so many doctors that I really don’t feel I have to run up to the Upper East Side to go to a doctor.

It all started when I went to my primary care doctor for my annual check up and he had run out of flu shots. The normal one. He went through 2000 shots but did not save any for his patients that had been his patients for 20 odd years. I then started to look around and just by chance asked someone that said his doctor in the hood still had flu shots.

Dr Lev Haimoff at Madison Medical Practice  is located at 274 Madison Avenue between 37th and 36th street- He happens to have trained with my doctor that forgot about me with the flu shot. The office front desk,Dorinne, is pleasant, which is not usually the case and the office is clean. I am so happy to find someone so close to home.

Best thing is he has flu shots and will call you and tell you when the H1M1 vaccine comes in. He seems also young and very pleasant.

30 east 38th StAt 30 East 38th the management was able to empty a rent stabilized apartment, renovate it and rent for market rent. This one bedroom apartment on the 4th floor with a southern exposure terrace was rented within days for $3000 a month. Renovation did not have a posted permit.

31 east 38th stAnother brownstone will be changing hands. 31 East 38th street has finally sold for $7.9 million. I think it went on the market at $9 million. We will keep you up on whether it remains a multiple dwelling or a single family. The latter is my guess.

A problem that I had with one of your men…Mr.Matos

I was on my way home on last Thursday night Oct 15th and came out of the main entrance of GC on 42nd street about 10:00pm. It was raining. There was an over sized food truck with all the lights and music blocking the walkway and entrance. It was there so he stayed out of the rain. He also had a lot of garbage surrounding the cart on the sidewalk. Your man Mr Matos was on the street directing taxis to the taxi line.

I asked him if this cart should have been in the middle of the walk way and he went balistic.
He told me if I had a problem to contact the MTA. I tried to explain to him that I did not think the MTA had anything to do with the sidewalk but he would not listen and was really rude.

I do not think you would have sanctioned that scene: to make all the people exiting the door to walk around that cart to cross the street, which is a very difficult place to know where to cross anyway.

Your employee is misinformed and was not doing his job. There were no taxis by the way to direct and maybe he could have changed his focus to help the people crossing the street have an easy clear safe path.
